Voter ID registration: EC officials acused of taking bribes

Compilation of Voter Register at Macedonia Methodist Polling Center in the Ablekuma North Constituency in the Greater Accra region has been characterized with bribery allegations and breech of safety protocols.

Aside the breech of coronavirus protocols at the registration centre, some people have leveled allegations against EC officials of taking money from others to be registered behind doors.

Meanwhile, Long queues have formed at the polling centre. Some lament has been in the queue since three days it started.

There has been a challenge also with the machines making it difficult to speed up the process.

Currently, the exercise has however been fraught with breaches of the laid down coronavirus protocols as most eligible Ghanaians who queued at the polling centre to be registered refused to ensure social distancing and wear face masks.

Some also lament risk contracting the deadly coronavirus as they have had to battle with the crowd to gain entry to the compound.
