Voter registration: Bawumia registers for new ID at Walewale

Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahammudu Bawumia registered on Friday in Walelwale in the ongoing registration exercise organized by the electoral commission ahead of the 2020 December election.

The Vice President got his named catured at the Kperiga Presby D/A Primary School registration center in Walewale, where he hails from.

After fulfilling his civic responsibility, he expressed satisfaction regarding the citizenry abiding by all protocols outlined in the fight against covid-19:”I have registered in Kpariga by hometown, and I’m happy that people are respecting social distancing.”

The electoral commission started the registration exercise on Tuesday 30th June, 2020 as part of preparation towards the December 7th elections.

The exercise according to the electoral commission has been divided into phases due to the inadequacy of the registration kits and starts each day from 7AM to 5PM. The exercise is expected to end in August, 2020.
