The 2020 running mate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged Ghanaians who didn’t intend to vote to go out and do so come December 7, 2020.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang pledged that the next NDC government led by former President Mahama will not disappoint Ghanaians when given the mandate in the 2020 elections.
According to the former Education Minister, some Ghanaians who had no interest to vote have been energised to vote following her nomination as running mate to the flagbearer of the NDC.
“Many are those who are now more energized to vote, thanks to the momentous decision of JM. I urge them to do just that. We do not intend to disappoint you.”
Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang made these remarks during her official unveiling ceremony yesterday (Monday), 27th July 2020 in Accra.
She also believes that her appointment as running mate by John Mahama has overturned the struggles of women and girls to aspire to be part of higher decision making circles.
“We- men, women, our youth and children- we all have a chance to finally make real our dreams of serving this country at high levels, of removing doubts and proving once again that we are capable,” Prof Opoku-Agyemang added.
