Hon. Arimeyaw Somo Lucky, West Mamprusi Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has expressed satisfaction in the on-going voter registration exercise in the Municipality.
According to the MCE, day one of the exercise have been incident-free and commended the EC, political party agents, registration officers and other supporting staff at the various Centres.
The MCE said this in an address to the media when he and some executives of the New Patriotic Party (Npp), visited registration centres in Walewale.
At Kperiga Presby JHS, Registration Officers, told the MCE and his entourage that as at 10:30am on Tuesday, 30th June, thirty two (32) people had registered.
Registration Officers at L/A Primary B said as at 13:18 hours fourty four (44) people had registered.
Centers visited included Kpariga Presbyterian JHS, Kpariga Primary, L/A Primary B and JHS, Cotton Office, Internal Revenue and the Vet Office.
Hon. Arimeyaw Somo Lucky said the Municipality had been calm since the exercise began with no reports of minor registration nor the use of challenge form for the purpose of challenging registrants.
