The Director of Elections of the NDC, Mr. Elvis Afriyie- Ankrah has revealed that the NDC has won the elections per the results in their position.
He said what is left to do is for the supporters to storm the collation centres and protect the ballots in order to prevent a hatched ploy by the NPP to swap the ballot boxes.
Mr. Afriyie Ankrah announced this at an emergency press conference at the Party’s Headquarters in Accra at Midnight.
“We thank all Ghanaians for the support they’ve shown us. The Results trickling in looks good. We’ve been able to flip the seats owned by the NPP. Some significant seats we have flipped since 1992”, the Director of the elections said.
Below are the seats the NDC flipped:
La Dadekotopon, Ledzorkuku, Tema East, Adentanj, Madina Ablekuma Central, Okai Koi North
Kintampo North, Kintampo south
Upper Manya, Akwatia, Ayensuano
Amenfi East, Prestea Huni Valley, Jomoro Evalue Edwira.
Techiman North, Techiman South
Akumfi, Upper Denkyira West, Awutu Senya West, Cape Coast North, Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa.
Jaman North Dormaa West
According to Mr. Afriyie Ankrah 36 seats that have been flipped “so anybody anybody who is saying that they’ve won may be having a mental problem.
“We charge all Party supporters to go to the collation centres and ensure that the ballots are protected,” he added.
He continued “NPP is trying to swap ballot boxes and do all manner of things, So please don’t have pre-mature jubilation go to the collation centre and protect the ballots.”
